What is REIA (real estate investors association)?

A local real estate investors association: a club that meets to share deals, contractors, lenders and buyers. A common free place for new wholesalers to find cash buyers.

Why it matters to an investor

A local investors club is one of the cheapest ways to meet cash buyers, lenders and contractors. Many wholesalers find their first buyers there.

How investors use it

  • Go to a meeting and ask who buys in your area.
  • Bring a simple deal sheet.
  • Ask for lender and attorney names; they know the local rules.

Questions

Is joining free?

Prices differ by club. Many let you visit a first meeting.

Is a REIA the same as a Realtor board?

No. A REIA is for investors. A Realtor board is for licensed agents.
