About Greene County's records

Everything comes from the Auditor's nightly full database download: owner, the owner's own mailing address, market and assessed values, this year's tax, what is still owed and the unpaid tax from earlier years, the county's delinquent list and foreclosure, sheriff-sale and bankruptcy flags. Every transfer since 1986 has its price and buyer / seller, but the county kept no deed type on most older transfers, so only sheriff and estate sales are recognised there (from the seller's name). Map points come from the county's parcel map; cities publish no code-enforcement cases.

Ohio rules

How unpaid tax and foreclosure work in Ohio

Unpaid tax is certified delinquent after about a year; the county treasurer then forecloses through the court or the Board of Revision, and sheriff sales are held online. Some counties also sell tax lien certificates. The owner can pay the full amount until the court confirms the sheriff sale.

Mortgage foreclosures: judicial. Mortgage foreclosures go through the court of common pleas and end with an online sheriff sale.
