What is yellow letters?

Simple, handwritten-style letters on yellow paper that investors mail to owners. The plain look is meant to feel personal instead of like advertising.

Why it matters to an investor

Most owner mail looks like advertising and goes in the bin. A plain handwritten-style letter looks like it came from a person. It is a cheap way to stand out, and mail needs no phone number.

How investors use it

  • Write short, kind and honest. Say who you are.
  • Mail to the owner's mailing address, not the property.
  • Follow up more than once; one letter rarely gets an answer.
